Francesco Placentino

Francesco Pio Placentino was born in San Giovanni Rotondo, on June 4th, 1980. He received the Laurea degree (with laude) in electrical engineering from University of Perugia, Italy, in September 2004. In December 2007 he received his Ph.D. from the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering (DIEI) of the University of Perugia (Italy), under the advice of Prof. Luca Roselli. He was a visitor at the electrical engineering department of Georgia Tech from January 2006 to July 2006, under the advice of Prof. Manos Tentzeris.

Currently he is a System Engineer in the Combat System Engineering section of Orizzonte Sistemi Navali SPA, in Rome, Italy. He is responsible for the RCS (Radar Cross Section) and EME (ElectroMagnetic Compatibility) designs for the topside of the new ship frigate FREMM (European multi-mission frigate).
